My Songs.

The journey in completing this album has been extremely cathartic by default and despite the return to my musical heritage and culture touchstones for creative inspiration, I believe that I have produced a body of work that truly articulates an honest and personal perspective on a love affair with ‘Scottish-ness’, ‘nostalgic tribalism’ and ‘heritage’. Undoubtedly, the notion of “the good old days” has inspired my songs and  arguably, in using the well-worn cliché; “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, it could be assumed that using my past as a basis for 'Lansbury Street', I have simply reverted to type. However, this album and the 10 songs show that despite a predisposition to the cacophony of sound that has coloured my life, I have produced narratives and melodies that are honest and raw. I hope you enjoy my songs and my trip down memory lane.

Enjoy
